Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at a regional hospital in Billings, MT.

• Respiratory Therapy department at a regional hospital in Billings, MT
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
• May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic for charting

Requirements

• Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
• Current state Registered Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to assignment start)
• Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures; obtains arterial blood gases; and initiates respiratory protocols based on clinical assessments
• Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating progress to physicians, nurses, and other departments
• Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
• Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and may be assigned special clinical projects by department leadership
• Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental research activities
• Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
• Two references are required for consideration
