Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of experience for a night shift position at a regional hospital in Billings, MT.
Details
- Respiratory Therapy department at a regional hospital in Billings, MT
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Graduate of an NBRC-approved Respiratory Therapist program from an accredited institution
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
- Current state Registered Respiratory Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
- BLS certification required (must be AHA-issued and must not expire prior to assignment start)
- Minimum 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Date of birth and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Performs, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic testing procedures; obtains arterial blood gases; and initiates respiratory protocols based on clinical assessments
- Administers medications safely and evaluates patient response, communicating progress to physicians, nurses, and other departments
- Educates patients and families on self-care techniques and health promotion
- Acts as a resource, consultant, and mentor to CRT staff and may be assigned special clinical projects by department leadership
- Participates in quality improvement, patient safety initiatives, and departmental research activities
- Former permanent staff of any Intermountain facility must be separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
